Sales Policies and Miscellaneous Information
Payment: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Checks can be accepted with a mail order however we will allow up to 7 days for this to clear our bank before any orders are shipped.
Shipping: We ship via UPS AND USPS for the best package control and tracking.
When your order is processed and the shipping information is transmitted
electronically to UPS, you should receive an email from UPS with your package
tracking information. This doesn't always happen instantly, sometimes it takes a
day for them to catch up. If you have placed an order and haven't seen a email
with this information then please check your spam folders before asking for
tracking information as we find many times people have received the UPS email
but miss it due to the large volume of spam messages prevalent on the internet.
We ship on average 3 times per week, sometimes more and sometimes less. While we
give priority to Air shipment orders, we cannot make a guarantee that your order
will ship the same day received. UPS pickup cutoff times, weather delays,
work loads, product stock levels, etc all contribute to this. We try our best to get your
order out the same day if at all possible but occasionally delays do happen.
Smaller orders will ship via either first class mail or via Priority Mail at our
Overseas Shipping: Yes we do ship overseas. We can ship one of two ways. By UPS or US Priority Mail. However it is very expensive and cost prohibitive to do this via UPS. Here's what we need before we will ship. Enter your order in on the site, use the International shipping checkbox. We will give you a quote by email on the shipping rates once the order is received. **US Mail is available as an option for shipping however any claims for loss or damages are purely at your own risk, we have no way of tracking orders via usps so if it's lost you agree that you are responsible for the payment of charges related to this shipment.
Third Party Shipping: Bank rules dictate that we must ship to the credit card billing address to prevent fraudulent transactions. The address you use on your order must match the street and zip code of your credit card billing address or the order cannot be processed. If you use a Post Office Box for your mailing address please indicate this in the comment field of your order. Orders that are received without a matching verifiable address will be refused as they are considered an automatic fraudulent transaction by the credit card companies. We do not ship outside of the USA and Canada unless the order is pre-paid. We do accept wire transfers to our bank account to speed your order with a slight surcharge. Please contact us for details.
Checks/Insufficient payment: Any checks received that are returned for non
payment we will assess a $50 returned check fee.
Returns: All sales are final. Salty's will accept returns for replacement of any radios/parts found defective from manufacturing within the first 90 days of purchase. Product is only exchanged and in no case is there monetary credit given. Returns must be accompanied by a copy of your sales receipt for date verification. Salty's is in no way responsible for return shipping of the damaged radio/part to our location, that is the customer responsibility. Returns for any other reason are not accepted. Please contact us prior to shipping anything for a proper return material authorization number. Please contact us ASAP with any problems with your order so that it can be resolved.
Charge backs: Recently we received several credit card charge backs for orders that were shipped and when people got their charge card bills didn't remember who "Salty's" was. Instead of stopping to think about who or what the charge is, some find it easier to call their credit card companies and complain. Problem is we get hit with a $50 non-refundable fee assessed any time this happens. It comes out of my personal pocket and effective 3/1/09 if we receive a chargeback notice from a valid order that was properly filled and delivered we will now consider this a returned check charge and we will charge you the $50 directly. Submission of an order is an acknowledgement of the receipt of our terms and conditions.
Use of information collected: Salty's does not disclose to anyone or any company any information it collects to process orders. Your information including telephone numbers, email addresses, etc will not ever be sold or given out to any other company. We respect your privacy. All credit card information is stored securely and destroyed after use in accordance with standard Visa/MC/Amex/Discover policies.
