Returns/Privacy Policy
Your Satisfaction is Guaranteed!
We guarantee your satisfaction with all Salty's merchandise. You may return any item within 7 days of delivery for a full
in-shop credit of the purchase price (minus shipping and
handling/labor charges) as long as the product is in the original packaging and has not been
used in any way. Credit will be applied towards purchase of
other equipment. There is a
50% restocking fee on all non-defective opened items.
All non-defective returns must arrive in original packaging in resalable
condition, with all original components included, or the package will be
returned to you. The customer is responsible for
returning the item(s) to Salty's at
their expense.
There are no exceptions to this rule. We must receive this product
back within 7 days at our shop.
Radios or accessories that have had their
packages opened or used in any way cannot legally be sold as new and must be
discounted as used merchandise, and as such any returns will be carefully
inspected and evaluated for full credit return. There will be no credit issued
for bundled products returned without the original product it was bundled with; ie: chargers without radios etc. Credit will not be given for shipping, or
programming charges applicable to units setup for a particular customer.
Radios are typically bundled with programming included and as such any credit
will be for the unbundled price.
Radios that are programmed for a specific user will incur a $60.00 shop
programming charge for any units returned. While we typically include the
programming of up to 10 channels with any radio, it still takes our technical
time which needs to be reimbursed.
Items returned beyond 7 days will be handled
as a shop or factory repair and returned.
Special order equipment or equipment not
normally stocked is non-returnable. Cable and wire that has been cut or has had
connectors installed for a specific user cannot be returned for credit. No
exceptions.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item, we will promptly send you a replacement or
repair your item at our discretion after you have returned the damaged or defective product. You will not be charged any additional shipping or handling fees for replacement shipments. Salty's offers free technical support on any product that we have sold to
you with the exception of computer programming. Users that purchase
computer software/kits are assumed to understand the basic operations and
parameters required to program a radio or accessory.
Safe Shopping Policy & Privacy
Credit Card Safety
Salty's uses the latest technology to protect your credit card information and does not release it to any outside
organization ever. You can place your orders using Netscape's/Internet
Explorer's SSL encryption (the Internet standard for secure transactions) or you
can telephone, fax or email your card information to us. Due to past
problems with credit card abuse, all orders must be shipped to the credit card
billing address only, and an adult signature may be required.
Salty's Privacy Guarantee
At Salty's, we are committed to protecting your
privacy. This means that we will not distribute, sell or rent your name or
personal information about you to any third party without your
permission.
Salty's may share non-personal,
non-individual information in aggregate form with its marketing partners
for research purposes. In other words, we will not tell our marketing
partners that you purchased a specific product, but we may tell them
how many customers purchased that product.
If you choose "Don't Subscribe" for your e-mail option when you set up
your Salty's account, or anytime thereafter, you will
not be contacted by Salty's for any reason that is not
directly related to assisting you with your purchases.
We may ask you if you are interested in receiving information about
upcoming promotions from Salty's or our participating
sponsors. If you choose
the "not interested" option, you will not receive any promotional emails
from Salty's.
Note: We must cooperate fully should a situation arise where we are
required by law or legal process to provide information about a
customer.
Cookies and Computer information: Our site uses "cookies"
which are small bits of information that are used to identify information from
site users. These "cookies" are non-destructive in nature and serve to
tell us information such as most popular pages, most active days, least active
days, numbers of visitors and from what country, etc.
At no time ever does Salty's divulge this information to any other party whatsoever. We
respect our customer's privacy to the fullest. Users with questions regarding
