Here's a few tips for efficient mobile operation:

• Always be sure to DISCONNECT your radio before jumpstarting your vehicle, just shutting it off DOESN'T Protect it!
• Be sure to keep snow away from your antenna-it can detune the antenna and cause your reception to drop significantly.
• Try not to stretch your microphone cord too much until it warms up-cold cords won't stretch and cause increased wear on the internal wires!
• Be sure to shut off your radio at night or over a weekend! Radios still draw power when they are not transmitting and could result in a dead battery in your vehicle. There are products on the market that will automatically shut down radios if you have forgetful people.
• Wipe your antenna clean every once in a while-Radio Energy travels along the outside layer of the antenna, and if it corrodes, it can cause a loss of range! Winter-time salt is a killer!
• Remember to remove your antenna if possible before you go into a car wash-they are the number one antenna breaker!
• Once a month, unscrew your antenna from it's mount, and wipe the mount on the roof-condensation can build up inside the mount and cause corrosion if left unchecked.
